Bangladesh Army in a drive recovered a homemade pistol several crude bombs from a train compartment at Airport Railway Station in the capital on Monday morning.
During the drive, army members searched several compartments of Dinajpur-bound Ekota Express train and recovered those from a sack of rice, said a press release on Monday.
Four persons were detained for preliminary questioning and taken to Uttara Army Camp, officials said.
Efforts to identify those involved in the attempted sabotage are underway.
