Bangladesh Rice Research Institute celebrated Nabanna Festival at the institute in Gazipur on Sunday.
BRRI director general Mohammad Khalequzzaman inaugurated the festival by releasing balloons in front of the administrative building of the institute, said a press release.
The festival featured paddy cutting, a rally and a discussion.
Chaired by chief scientific officer and head of RFS department Md Ibrahim, Mohammad Khalequzzaman addressed as chief guest at the discussion.
BRRI director, research, Md Rafiqul Islam and the DG鈥檚 wife Farzia Ahmed Simmi spoke as special guests at the event.
