The physics department of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology is scheduled to inaugurate a two-day conference titled International Conference on Physics for Sustainable Development and Technology 2025 at the CUET in Chattogram on Wednesday.
On this occasion, a press conference was organised at the Syndicate Room of CUET on Sunday, said a press release.
The conference secretary and professor of physics department Animesh Kumar Chakraborty read out a written statement at the conference.
The conference president and head of the physics department Professor HMAR Maruf, conference treasurer and associate professor of the department Md Muktar Hossain, joint secretary of the technical committee Saiful Kabir, joint secretaries of the conference committee Arjuman Ara Begum and Zahid Hasan were present at the press conference.
Sponsored by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission, the 6th international conference will be attended by leading academicians, scholars and researchers from various universities and scientific research organisations of the United States, China, Japan, Malaysia, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh.
There will be 3 keynote speakers and 15 invited speakers and 274 papers selected from 400 papers will be presented in this conference.
On Wednesday, CUET vice-chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan will be present as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony at the Central Auditorium of CUET.
