A day-long training workshop titled From Framework to Practice: Implementation BNQF for Quality Assurance and Accreditation in Gazipur Agricultural University was held at the GAU in Gazipur on Wednesday.

The workshop was organised by the university’s Institutional Quality Assurance Cell and took place at the IQAC Seminar Room, said a press release.


The primary objective of the workshop was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework and hands-on training on how to effectively implement it within higher education institutions.

The event is regarded as a significant step toward enhancing academic quality and ensuring institutional transparency.

The workshop was inaugurated by GAU vice-chancellor Professor GKM Mustafizur Rahman, who served as chief guest.

In his address, he stated, ‘Implementing BNQF is not merely a procedural formality it is a fundamental tool for ensuring excellence in education. With its proper implementation, we can prepare our graduates for global standards and improve the overall quality of our institution. Accreditation is not optional it is essential.’

He added, ‘Every department must ensure quality, and BNQF offers us a clear roadmap. We are committed to this framework and ready to meet future challenges.’

The opening session was chaired by Professor Nasrin Akter Ivy, director of IQAC, who also delivered the welcome address and outlined the workshop’s purpose and future plans.
