The Bangladesh Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Association on Tuesday unveiled a comprehensive research report on the safety and efficacy of select Ayurvedic formulations.

The ‘Preclinical safety and clinical efficacy study report of some ayurvedic medicine’ was officially launched at a ceremony held at the conference room of Hamdard’s head office in Bangla Motor of Dhaka.


Hakim Md Yousuf Harun Bhuiyan, president of BAMA and managing director and chief mutawalli of Hamdard Laboratories (Waqf) Bangladesh, and founder of Hamdard University Bangladesh, unveiled the publication as the chief guest.

The event featured detailed discussions on the research findings. Professor M Shahabuddin K Chowdhury presented the core concept of the research project. A panel of distinguished experts, including Jahangirnagar University professors Shakiba Yasmin and Tasmina Rahman, former director of Dhaka Medical College Professor Saidur Rahman, and head of the ayurvedic department of Hamdard University Bangladesh Professor Babul Akhter, contributed to the scientific discourse. BAMA general secretary Mizanur Rahman also addressed the gathering.

The event began with a welcome address from Professor Kamrun Nahar Harun, advisor and senior director of marketing, planning and development at Hamdard University. Hamdard’s director of information and public relations, Amirul Mominin Manik, coordinated the event.

Following the book launch ceremony, the association held its executive committee meeting, which was attended by all committee members.
