
The Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) and hall union elections commission on Thursday said it was giving utmost importance to allegations over unprotected ballot papers, with a further probe already under way.
In a press release issued by the chief returning officer’s office, the commission said that a detailed response to all issues would soon be presented at a press conference.
The release also stated that the commission is treating with utmost importance the various complaints and queries raised after the 2025 elections.
As part of this process, and in line with Article 69 of the constitution, written replies to 15 complaints and queries were provided on Thursday. The remaining complaints and queries will be addressed gradually, the release added.
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir-backed panel for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union elections won 23 among 28 posts, including the vice-president, general secretary and assistant general secretary posts in DUCSU and hall union elections held on September 9.
