The Prime Bank PLC organised a seminar titled Financial Inclusion: Engaging and Inspiring Youth in Banking at the Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University in Dhaka on Thursday.
In collaboration with the SAU鈥檚 Outreach Programme Department, SAU vice-chancellor Professor Md Abdul Latif was present as chief guest at the event, said a press release.
He emphasised that financial inclusion was vital for sustainable development and youth empowerment.
SAU pro-VC Professor Md Belal Hossain, treasurer Professor Md Abul Bashar and Outreach Programme director Professor Mohammad Zamshed Alam also highlighted the importance of financial literacy and leadership skills for students at the seminar.
Prime Bank deputy managing director for HR Ziaur Rahman in his keynote address highlighted the bank鈥檚 role in youth career development, women empowerment, and financial inclusion through innovative initiatives.
Senior EVP and head of liability Shaila Abedin shared the bank鈥檚 youth-focused journey, while SVP and head of financial inclusion and school banking MM Mahbub Hasan underscored the role of financial literacy in inclusive growth and nurturing future leaders.
The seminar also emphasised industry-academia collaboration, with both Prime Bank and SAU reaffirming their commitment to strengthening partnerships through student-focused initiatives, research collaborations, and skill development programs.
