Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation chairman Md Ruhul Amin Khan has recently inspected the activities of various wings of BADC in Dinajpur and Thakurgaon.

During the visit from September 17 to 21, the BADC chairman participated in the inauguration of the 2,100 tonne capacity fertiliser warehouse in Thakurgaon, along with the growth test of jute seeds, funded by the 200 tonne capacity seed warehouse and fertiliser project built in Dinajpur through the Partner Project, said a press release on Monday.

He said, ‘The BADC is working tirelessly to supply quality seeds and non-urea fertilisers of various crops to the farmers on time.’

He urged all concerned to work with more responsibility, dedication and sincerity so that farmers can get seeds and fertilisers at fair prices and without any harassment.

On the other hand, while attending a workshop titled Fertiliser Conservation and Supply and Balanced Fertiliser Use organised by the Wheat and Maize Research Institute in Dinajpur, the BADC chairman said that awareness among farmers should be further increased on the moderate use of fertilisers.
