Narsingdi District Council distributed sewing machines among the families of martyrs and injured in the July mass uprising on Tuesday.

Narsingdi deputy commissioner Mohammad Rashed Hossain Chowdhury was present as the chief guest at the event, said a press release.


Sewing machines were distributed among 58 victim families on the District Council premises.

District Council chief executive officer Abdul Wahab Rashed presided over the event. It was addressed by district council assistant engineer Noor-e-Ilham, student representative Munia Rahman Monika, among others.

District council accountant Roman Mia, senior assistants Saidur Rahman and Hashem Mia, office assistants Shahana Akhter, and Sarbear Abdullah Al Mamun coordinated the event.
