Islami Chhatra Andolan Bangladesh鈥檚 panel Sachetan Shikkharthi Sangsad general secretary candidate Md Khayrul Ahsan Marzan alleged that election authorities did not allow the panel鈥檚 polling agents at different polling centres.
At about 10:00am Marzan alleged, 鈥極ur polling agents were not allowed to enter the Senate and Udayan centres. After arguments with the authorities, they allowed our agent at the Senate centre; but our agent is still not to allowed at the Udayan centre.鈥�
According to the authorities, valid polling agents must be present at the centres before 6:30am.
When asked about the time, Marzan claimed that all their polling agents were present at the centres before the given time with valid polling agents鈥� cards.
Voting in the Dhaka University Central Students鈥� Union and hall union elections began on Tuesday morning in eight polling centres on the DU campus amid a peaceful atmosphere.
It began at about 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm without any break, said DUCSU election chief returning officer Professor Mohammad Zashim Uddin.
