
The training and communication wing of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute has arranged an innovative technology exhibition and exchange of view for young entrepreneurs at the institute鈥檚 Kazi Badruddoza auditorium in Gazipur on Wednesday.
Students of BARI High School, young agricultural entrepreneurs and various stakeholders related to agriculture participated in the programme, which was organised as part of the celebration of Youth Festival-2025, said a press release.
BARI鈥檚 director, training and communication, Md Ataur Rahman, presided over the session while director, support and services, Ashraf Uddin Ahmed, was present as chief guest.
Chief scientific officer, training and communication, Md Obaidullah Kaisar, gave short brief presentation of BARI at the event.
Director, planning and evaluation, Md Abdur Rashid; director, Horticulture Research Centre, Faruque Ahmed; and director, Tuber Crops Research Centre Md Matiar Rahman were present as special guests in the programme.
Divisional head and senior scientists from various centres, divisions and sections of BARI were also present at that time.
A seminar was held after the inauguration of the exhibition, which was conducted by scientific officer, training and communication wing, Syeda Tasnim Jannat.
The Youth Festival programme was co-ordinated by senior scientific officer, training and communication wing, Md Mizanur Rahman.
The exhibition programme was inaugurated by Ashraf Uddin Ahmed cutting the ribbon.
Various improved varieties, modern cultivation methods, environment-friendly agricultural technologies and exportable agricultural products invented by BARI were displayed at the exhibition.
