
The BTEC award ceremony 2025 of Shanto-Mariam Institute of Creative Technology has recently been held at the Shanto-Mariam University auditorium in Dhaka, celebrating the creative excellence and achievements of its BTEC students.
SMICT is the first BTEC centre in Bangladesh, renowned for delivering UK-awarded art and design qualifications, said a press release on Wednesday.
Founded and operated by the Shanto-Mariam Foundation, the institute has built a reputation for its globally acclaimed approach to advancing vocational education.
This year鈥檚 ceremony featured discussions, certificate presentations and a variety of proceedings, underscoring SMICT鈥檚 journey in fostering talent and innovation in education.
Distinguished guests at the event included Stephen Forbes, country director of the British Council; Abdullah Al Mamun, regional development manager at Pearson Education; Professor Mostafizul Haque, artist and chairman of the board of trustees, Shanto-Mariam University; and Par Moshiur Rahman, registrar of Shanto-Mariam University.
Speakers emphasised the importance of market-relevant, job-oriented education and commended SMICT鈥檚 contribution to advancing vocational and design education in Bangladesh.
Organised under the supervision of Abdullah Al Masud, adviser to Shanto-Mariam Foundation and SMICT, in the concluding segment, guests handed over the certificates to students from various cohorts.
