The annual urs marking the 17th death anniversary of Hazrat Shah Sufi Syed Hamidullah (RA) will be held at Mia Shaheb's Maidan Darbar Sharif premises on Thursday at Luxmibazar in Dhaka.
Ninth incumbent pir of the Khanqah Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Ahamadur Rahim (Damat Barakatuhum), who is also the fifth Mutawalli of Hazrat Shah Sufi Sayed Abu Yousuf Abdullah (RA) Waqf Estate and director of Mia Saheb's Maidan Shah Saheb Bari Jame Masjid, will conduct the religious discussion, dua mahfil and akheri munajat.
A daylong programme has been organised to mark the day. The programme includes Qurankhwani, waz mahfil and milad, putting new gilaf on the mazar after fazar prayers, hamd, nath and religious discussion on the life and activities of Hazrat Shah Sufi Hamidullah (RA), widely known as 8th Gaddinissian Peer of this Khanqah Sharif.
After Asar prayer, the programme will began through recitation of verses from the holy Quran by Mohammad Ishtiaq Sazzadur Rahman, Hafez Md Faruque and Hafez Mohammad Rahmatullah.聽
A milad mahfil has been organized after the Esha prayers which will be conducted by Syed Mohammad Barkatullah Badruddin.
Hafez Mowlana Waheeduddin Mohammed Esam (MA), pir saheb, Islamic scholar Mufti Muhammad Jasim Uddin Al- Azhari, Professor at Quaderia Taiyabiya Alia (Kamil) Madrasah at Mohammadpur, and Md Mojammel Hossain Bari, Principal, Al Nur Madrasa, Daudkandi, Cumilla, will deliver their valuable speech.
On the other hand, khatib Hazrat Maulana Mufti Jabed Omar Kaderi at Baitul Okba Jameh Masjid (Fatullah, Narayanganj) and pesh imam Maulana Mufti Abdur Rahman Belali, who is also khatib of Shah Saheb鈥檚 Bari Jame Masjid, and other Islamic scholars will also participate in religious discussion on this occasion.聽
Later the tabarak will be distributed among the devotees. Convener of the programme, Saiyed Taiyab Morshed Araf, has invited all to attend the function, said a press release.
