
A team of the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detained former chief justice ABM Khairul Haque from the capital’s Dhanmondi area on Thursday morning.
DMP DB joint commissioner for South and admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam said that a team detained him at about 8:30am on Thursday.
‘The former chief justice is accused in three cases, one in Jatrabari police station and two in Fatullah police stations in Narayanganj,’ he said.
He, however, could not confirm the types of cases against former cheif justice immediately.
Khairul Haque delivered the verdict that declared the caretaker government illegal and unconstitutional.
