A woman was killed after being run over by a train in Babra area under Kaliganj in Jhenaidah on Wednesday.
The deceased was Anjuara Khatun, 55, a resident of Ishwarba village of the upazila.
Assistant station master of Mobarakganj Railway Station, Touhidur Rahman, said that Chilahati-bound 鈥楽imanta Express鈥� was passing the railway station when the woman fell onto the tracks and was run over.
The police, later, recovered the body around 10:00am and sent it to Jashore General Hospital morgue, said sub inspector Mizanur Rahman, in-charge of Jashore Railway Police.
