A case has been filed against two youths for allegedly raping a 26-year-old woman and recording the incident on mobile phone at Tajumuddin in Bhola.
The woman鈥檚 brother filed the case with Tajumuddin police station on Sunday night, naming Rasel and Gias Uddin as accused.
According to the complaint, the incident took place at Charchra union under the upazila on June 10. The woman was staying at her father鈥檚 house with her child. When she went to the toilet behind the house at around 11:00pm, Gias Uddin allegedly grabbed her and raped her, while Rasel recorded the incident.
The woman claimed that Rasel later attempted to assault her, but she managed to escape. She remained silent fearing social stigma, but the accused started harassing her in public and threatened to spread the video if she spoke out.
Tajumuddin police official Mohabbat Khan said that efforts were underway to arrest the accused.
Earlier, another rape case was filed in the same upazila in the past week, with five suspects have already been arrested.
