Police recovered the hanging body of a former banker from his residence at Banani in Dhaka on early Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Aharar Masud Dwip, 40, hailed from Panchlaish area in Chattogram.
Banani police station sub-inspector Tarek Hasan said on information, police went to the spot and found the body which was hanging from a ceiling fan of the house.
They recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for post-mortem examinations.
Quoting the family members, SI Hasan said that Dwip used to work in the credit section of a private bank but lost his job in 2024.
Following this, his wife divorced him. The couple has a nine-year-old son.
