Nineteen shops were gutted in a devastating fire near the Srinagar sub-registrar’s office in Munshiganj early Sunday.
Dewan Azad Hossain, station officer of the Srinagar Fire Service Station, said that the shops caught fire at about 2:00am.
‘Four firefighting units managed to douse the flames by 4:00am, with no casualties,’ he said.
He said that an investigation was underway to find the cause of the fire and the amount of the damage.
