In the countrywide ongoing operations, 1,487 more crime suspects were arrested and seven firearms and ammunition were seized in the past 24 hours.
A Police Headquarters press release said that, of the 1,487 arrestees, 1,015 were apprehended in previous cases and pending warrants while 472 others on various criminal charges.
One 7.62mm China SMG, foreign pistol, four single barrel guns, one revolver, one shooter gun, several ammunition and sharp weapons were seized during the operation.
