At least seven people were killed and 13 others injured in road accidents in Barishal, Jashore and Gopalganj districts on Thursday.聽聽聽聽聽
抖阴精品 correspondent in Barishal reported that two people were killed and 11 others injured as a speeding truck carrying them plunged into a pond near the Dhaka-Barisal highway in Bamrail under Wazirpur upazila.
The deceased are Tufani Begum, 28, of Munshiganj district and Razia Begum, 30 of Shariatpur district. All the victims were from the Bede community.
Gaurnadi fire service station officer Bipul Hossain said that the truck, carrying Bede community members bound for Bhandaria in Pirojpur, overturned and fell into the pond after losing control.
Members of the fire service and police with the help of locals rescued the victims and took them to hospital.
Two of the injured were sent to Barishal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital and others treated at a local hospital.

Kotwali police OC Abul Hasnat said that the deceased are Masudur Rahman Milon, 40, former sports affairs secretary of Jashore district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League and Afrin Akhter Juin, 30, wife of Liton Hossain of New Town in Jashore.
The injured, Md Mamun, 32, of Fakirhat in Bagerhat district and Md Masud, 45, of Arenda village under Jashore sadar upazia were undergoing treatment at Jashore General Hospital.
Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha reported that three people were killed in separate road accidents in Gopalganj.
A man and his daughter were killed when a sand-laden truck hit them while they were standing beside the road after getting off a bus on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the Old Muksudpur area under Muksudpur upazila in the district.
The deceased are Syed Jamal Uddin, 70, and his daughter Rahima Begum, 30, of Kadmi village under Boalmari upazila of Faridpur district.
In another incident, a 60-year-old man was killed when a bus hit the man from behind on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in the Bhatiapara area under Kashiani upazila of the district.
The deceased is Zahirul Sheikh, a resident of Joypur village of the district.
