A special meeting was held on Eastern University campus with its vice-chancellor Professor Farid Ahmed Sobhani in chair to discuss mutual cooperation in the expansion of higher education and administrative development on Monday.
The meeting was attended by VCs and representatives of universities located in Ashulia, said a press release.
Present in the meeting were VC of Asian University of Bangladesh Professor Shahjahan Khan, VC of Manarat International University Professor Mohammad Abdur Rob, acting VC of City University Professor Kazi Shahdat Kabir and Professor MR Kabir, representing Daffodil International University.
The meeting was also attended by Eastern University registrar Abul Bashar Khan, Manarat International University registrar Md Moazzem Hossain and DIU planning and development department director Major (retired) Md Arman Ali Bhuiyan.
The meeting discussed the implementation of various activities based on cooperation between the universities in Ashulia and the organisation of an international conference in a joint initiative with IOU University in Gambia, Africa, which will be held at the Eastern University campus in October 2025.
