Three members of Dhaka Metropolitan Police detective branch, including Lalbagh Zone assistant commissioner Junayed Hasan Shoeb, assistant sub-inspector Atik Hasan and constable Sujan were injured as drug peddlers opened fire on them in the early hours of Thursday in the capital鈥檚 Paltan area.
The incident took place at about 12:20am when a team of DB tried to stop a private car at opposite of Central Police Hospital in Rajarbagh after exchanging drugs, according to police.
DMP DB joint commissioner for South and Admin Mohammad Nasirul Islam told 抖阴精品 that the ASI Atik Hasan sustained bullet injury in his belly and constable Sujan in his knee and they were undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
'AC Shoeb has sustained bullet injury in his finger. We have detained three people from the spot and seized the private car,' he said, adding that two armed men of the private car fled the scene
