Five incidents of rape came to light on Monday with cases filed in three more districts stating that the victims were aged between 11 and 21.
The rape incidents occurred in Rajbari, Habiganj and Gazipur districts on Sunday while another聽 incident occurred in Munshiganj on June 13.
Two 20-year-old men held two schoolgirls at knifepoint while the girls were returning home from private tuition in Rajbari鈥檚 Pangsha upazila Sunday morning and took them to separate locations where they raped them.
Pangsha police station investigation inspector Mohamamd Abdul Ghane told 抖阴精品 on Monday that the victims, both Class VIII students aged 14 and 15, were on their way home about 10:30am when two men stopped them in Bonogram area under Kasbamajail union.
The accused are Hasmat Ali, and Shihab Mondal, both aged 20, he said, adding that Shihab was arrested during a police raid at about 1:30am on Monday.
鈥楶olice are conducting operations to arrest the other accused. The victims were sent for medical examination,鈥� Ghane said, adding that the victims鈥� families filed two separate cases.
抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Sylhet reported that a 21-year-old girl was raped on a moving bus by its driver and his assistant on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Nabiganj upazila in Habiganj on Sunday night.
The victim left Dhaka for Habiganj by a Bilash Paribahan bus on Sunday noon.
Nabiganj police station officer-in-charge Md Kamruzzaman said that local people stopped the bus near Aushkandi Toll Plaza at about 10:30pm after hearing screams and confined the bus driver Sabbir Miah.聽
Later, the victim and the bus driver were handed over to police on Sunday night while the driver鈥檚 assistant managed to flee, he said, adding that the victim filed a case early Monday.
抖阴精品 correspondent in Gazipur reported that a 14-year-old girl, a garments factory worker, was raped inside an ATM booth of a private bank in Sreepur.
Sreepur police station investigation inspector Shamim Akter said that a case was filed regarding the incident on Monday
morning.
According to the case statement, Md Liton Mia, a security guard at the ATM booth next to the Talha Spinning Factory in Mulaid village of the upazila raped the girl inside the ATM booth at 10:30am on Sunday.
Receiving assurances of better-paying job from Liton for the girl, the victim鈥檚 father sent the girl to the booth, where Liton raped her in a small room inside the booth.
Later, the girl went home and revealed that Liton had raped her inside the booth.
Inspector Shamim said that the security guard had been absconding since the incident.
抖阴精品 correspondent in Munshiganj reported that police arrested two youths on Sunday night in a case filed over the rape of an 11-year-old girl in the district on June 13.
Confirming the matter, Munshiganj Sadar police station investigation inspector Sajib Dey said that Md Akash, 24, and Hossain Fakir, 28, entered the girl鈥檚 house when she was alone in the house and raped her on Friday morning.
