The Bangladesh Jatiya Bidyut Sramik Karmachari Union on Wednesday held a rally in front of the Bidyut Bhaban beside secretariat in Dhaka as part of their countrywide protest demanding five-point charter.
The union鈥檚 central executive committee president and Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal international affairs secretary Md Asaduzzaman Babul presided over the rally, said a press release.
Md Abul Kalam Azad, vice-president of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal and acting general secretary of Bangladesh Jatiya Bidyut Sramik Federation, Manjurul Islam, Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal central executive committee publicity and publication secretary and Bangladesh Water Development Board Jatiyatabadi Sramik Karmachari Union, and Md Delwar Hossain, president of DPDC Bidyut Sramik Karmachari Union, among others, spoke at the event.
Their demands include payment of APA bonus and pending OT and TA bills before Eid-ul-Azha, trial of corrupt officials, who accomplices of fascism, cancelling of the transfer order of leaders and activists of the union, and filling all vacant posts immediately as directed by the government.
