A fire broke out on the 12th floor of Sabbir Tower, a multi-storey commercial building in Dhaka's Purana Paltan area, on Saturday evening.
According to Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector at the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters media cell, the fire started around 8:30pm on the top floor of the building.
鈥楢fter receiving the information, fire service units rushed to the scene. Seven units were deployed and are working to bring the blaze under control,鈥� he said.
As of 9:30pm, no casualties had been reported. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and will be investigated, Islam added.
