A minor girl drowned in a pond at Kheshra village under Tala in Satkhira.
The deceased, Srija Das, 3, was daughter of Shyam Kumar Das of the village.
The girl was playing near the pond adjacent to their house and when she accidently slipped into it and drowned around 1.30pm, said family member.
After a search, the child鈥檚 relatives found her body floating in the pond and recovered it.
Officer-in-charge of Tala police station Sheikh Shahinur Rahman confirmed the incident.
