
A seminar titled ‘Drug Discovery and Development - Molecular Biology Perspective’ was held on Manarat International University’s permanent campus in Ashulia on Monday.
The main speaker of the seminar was Professor Atia-Tul-Wahab, a renowned researcher at COMSTECH, one of the Standing Committees on Scientific and Technological Cooperation within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, said a press release.
Professor Md Mozammel Hoq, one of the members of the board of trustees of MIU, was present as chief guest while Professor M Umar Ali, member of the board of trustees of MIU and former vice-chancellor of the university was special guest at the seminar.
Professor Md Mizanur Rahman, dean of the school of engineering, science and technology, presided over the event.
The seminar, moderated by Reshma Khatun, teacher of the department of pharmacy, was also addressed by Munira Ahsan, professor of the department of pharmaceutical chemistry at Dhaka University and adviser to the department of pharmacy, MIU and Shamsunnahar Khan, professor of the department of pharmacy, East West University.
