Today is the 20th anniversary of death of Syeda Afifa Fatima, a resident of Khan Bahadur Garden, Shantibagh in Dhaka.
A special prayer session will be arranged to mark the day and food will be distributed at an orphanage, said a press release.
Fatima donated land for road and WASA pump in Shantibagh.
She was the youngest daughter of retired government official and Supreme Court advocate Syed Mohammad Hashim and Syeda Shamsunnahar and granddaughter of the then union minister of Pakistan Khan Bahadur Syed Mohammad Afzal and Khan Bahadur Syed Mushfiqus Salehin MBE.
Fatima died at the age of 49 on March 22, 2005.
Relatives and friends were requested to pray for the salvation of her departed soul.
