
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party-backed Jubo Dal has expelled its Narsingdi city convener Mahmudul Hasan Chowdhury Suman on charges of extortion, molestation and torture at Narsingdi Railway Station. 聽
This information was disclosed in a press release signed by Minhajul Islam Bhuiyan, joint office secretary of the Juba Dal central executive committee, on Thursday.
The press release said that Narsingdi city Juba Dal convener Mahmudul was expelled from the party along with his primary membership on clear allegations of involvement in activities against party discipline.
The party will not take any responsibility for any misdeeds of the expelled leader, added the press release, mentioning that leaders and activists of the Juba Dal had been instructed not to have organisational relations with him.
On February 26, Narsingdi Railway Station master Abu Taher Mohammad Musa and railway officials and employees filed a written complaint with the Narsingdi district commissioner, accusing Mahmudul of extortion, molestation and torture at the station.
