At least six people were killed in road accidents in Dhaka, Kishoreganj, Sylhet and Chattogram on Tuesday.

A couple was killed after their motorcycle was hit by an unidentified truck at about 1:30am on Tuesday at Uttara in the Capital.


The deceased are Abdur Rahman Rabbi, 32, and his wife Karima Akhter Mim, 30, said Mohammad Faruk, in-charge of the Dhaka Medical College Hospital police outpost.

They were initially taken to a local hospital and later, referred to the DMCH, where Mim died at about 3:00am while Rabbi died at about 7:45am, he said.

Bangladesh Sangbad Sanstha reported that two teenagers were killed after a bus ran over them while they were going to school on a motorcycle in Baniagram bus stand area under Katiadi upazila in Kishoreganj.

The deceased are Ali Akbar, 13, a Class VIII student of Madhyapara High School, and his cousin Junayed, 12, a Class VI student at the same school.

抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Sylhet reported that a youth was killed after being hit by a truck at Jaintapur upazila in Sylhet early Tuesday.

The deceased is Kajal Das, 22, son of Nirendra Das of Sarukhel village at Charikata union of the Jaintapur upazila, police said.

Local people said that a Sylhet-bound speeding truck hit Kajal at around 1:30am at Charikata Bazar when he was returning home.

BSS also reported that a teenage girl was killed after falling off a CNG-run auto-rickshaw and then being run over by a bus at Banskhali in Chattogram.

The deceased is Monika Akhtar, 14, daughter of Nasir Uddin, a resident of Matarbari North Rajghata under the Maheshkhali police station.

Meanwhile, bodies of six construction workers, who were killed in a collision between a pickup van and a covered van on the Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Feni on Monday, were handed over to their families after autopsy on Tuesday afternoon, 抖阴精品 correspondent in Feni reported.
