Harpoon, toilet cleaner brand of Quazi Enterprises Limited, is running a campaign titled Hygiene for All, Power for Her to make people aware of hygienic use of toilets.
On the occasion of World Toilet Day, the campaign has been launched to make people aware about the importance of hygienic toilets, hygienic use of toilets, and maintaining toilet hygiene, said a press release.
To enlighten everyone, especially women, about the importance of proper and hygienic sanitation is one of the major goals of this campaign, added the press release.
Harpoon is directly communicating with the people about the importance of using hygienic toilets in various places, including Gulshan, Banani, Dhanmondi, Uttara, Mirpur, Mohammadpur in the capital along with social media campaigns.
Quazi Nazmul Abedin, chairman of Quazi Enterprises Limited, said, ‘Most people in the country are currently using toilets, but the number of hygienic toilets is less than half. Apart from this, people’s awareness about toilet cleanliness is even less.’
‘Harpoon Toilet Cleaners is working to ensure clean toilet facilities for every person in Bangladesh ranging from urban to rural areas,’ he added.
Chief executive officer of the organisation, Rafikol Amyeen, said, ‘We are working everywhere with various initiatives from our place to solve these challenges. We want to convince people that using the toilet are not enough; hygienic toilets should be used.’Â
Although, 100 per cent sanitation has been ensured in the country, 100 per cent hygienic sanitation has not been ensured. Harpoon Toilet Cleaner has come forward to make common people aware of this problem, the press release mentioned.
