President of Rajshahi Division Journalist Association, Dhaka and senior sub-editor of Bangladesh Pratidin Mujibur Rahman Chowdhury passed away early Thursday. He was 61.
Dhaka Union of Journalists member Mujibur Rahman breathed his last while undergoing treatment in Dhaka鈥檚 Birdem general hospital.
He left behind wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
His first janaza was held at 1:00pm at his working place Bangladesh Pratidin in Bashundhara area and the second janaza in Maniknagar of Dhaka after asr prayers. He was buried in city鈥檚 Mugda area.
DUJ president Sohel Haider Chowdhury and its general secretary Akhter Hossain expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Mujibur.
They prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
