The death toll from the student protests rose to 377 as a bullet injured youth died on Friday while undergoing treatment at the National Institute of Neuro Sciences and Hospital in Dhaka.
The victim, Ilyas Khan, 33, an electrician, was a resident of West Shawra village under Gournadi in Barishal. He was shot during the student-led mass uprising in Dhaka city on August 4.聽
His body was taken to Barishal and buried on Friday, said family members.聽
The student protests under the banner of Student Movement Against Discrimination left 377 killed and several thousand injured, including students, children, traders, local residents and pedestrians.
On August 5, Sheikh Hasina was forced to resign as prime minister and fled to India amid mass uprising led by student protest.
At least 152 people were killed in mob and arson after the fall of Hasina.
