
Two people were killed and three others injured as the driver of a private car lost control over the steering and hit a roadside tree near the Bangabandhu International Conference Center on Begum Rokeya Avenue in Bangladesh capital Dhaka early Tuesday.
The names of the deceased could be known as Md Sayem Reza Rabbi, 28, and Mohammad Rasel, 30.
The injured ones who are now undergoing treatment are Ratul Sagar and Biplab.
Kafrul police station sub-inspector Md Jahirul Islam said that the accident occurred at about 12:50am.
The bodies of the deceased were kept at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
The police seized the car and kept it at the Kafrul Police Station.
Saiful Islam Raju who brought the victims to DMCH said that five friends met the fatal accident when they were enjoying a trip by a private car at the night following Eid-ul-Azha.
He said that they rushed the victims to DMCH following the incident.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Bachchu Mia said that two of the victims were declared dead sometimes after arrival and three were admitted to the hospital.
He said that one of the injured ones was shifted to another hospital.
