The orientation programme of the 15 newly-appointed sub-assistant engineers and section officers (mechanical and electrical) of the Bangladesh Water Development Board was held at Pani Bhaban meeting room on Panthopath in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The BWDB additional director general (western region), also director general in-charge, AKM Tahmidul Islam was chief guest on the occasion, said a press release.
The BWDB additional director general (finance), joint secretary Kazi Nazrul Islam, additional director general (eastern region) Md Enayet Ullah, additional director general (planning, design and research) Md Zahirul Islam spoke about the data and information of Bangladesh Water Development Board as special guests.
Officers of various levels of the board were present in the said orientation ceremony. Sub-assistant engineer Md Aminul Islam delivered a congratulatory speech from among the newly-appointed officers.
