One sailor went missing and eleven others were rescued after a cargo ship, headed towards Dhaka from Chattogram port, sank with 12 sailors at Hatiya in Noakhali on Thursday.
Nalchira River outpost inspector Mehedi Zaman told 抖阴精品 that the cargo ship named MV Mamoni sank at about 12:00pm near Islampur Char at Hatiya due to rough weather.
On information, a team of Hatiya coast guard and two of Nalchira River police rushed to the spot and rescued the eleven sailors, he said.
鈥楬owever, coast guard members informed me that one of the sailors is missing. They are trying to find him,鈥� added the river police officer.
