Three juveniles drowned in the Padma River in Rajshahi while taking bath on Tuesday.
The deceased were 鈥� Md Yuvraj, 12, son of Md Rentu, Md Nuruzzaman, 14, son of Nur Islam, and Ariful Islam, 14, son of Md Liton of Bakhrabaz Dakshinpara Moholla of Katakhali municipality area of Paba upazila in Rajshahi.
Md Abu Sama, senior station officer of Rajshahi fire service and civil defence, told 抖阴精品 that along with others, the three juveniles went to the river near the Shyampur Balurghat area of Paba upazila at noon for taking bath.
While taking bath, the trio drowned due to the current in the river, he said, adding that on information, a team of the station recovered the bodies of them from the river at about 2:30pm.
Touhidul Islam, officer-in-charge of the Katakhali police station, said that the bodies of the youths were handed over to the family members following legal procedures.
On Sunday, two people, including a school student, drowned in the Padma River while taking bath near Nabaganga Ghat area of Paba upazila.
In the past nine days, a total of nine people drowned in the Padma River in Rajshahi.
