Daffodil International University has recently celebrated Nabanne Bangaliyana 2.0 on the university campus in Dhaka.
Organised by the DIU Change Together Club, the daylong festival featured agrarian culture, folk arts, music, theatre, and knowledge-based discussions, said a press release.
Students from 17 universities across the country participated in the event, showcasing their traditional attire, folk art, and agricultural heritage.
Their creative performances brought the essence of Nabanna and Bengali rural culture across the campus.
The festival also featured a seminar titled The Contribution of Agriculture to Bangladesh鈥檚 Economy.
Speakers shared insights on Bangladesh鈥檚 agricultural heritage, the socio-cultural significance of Nabanna, and the prospects of modern farming technologies.
Additionally, a village fair, Nakshi Kantha exhibition, doodle art, folk music, and folk dance performances enchanted the audience throughout the day.
According to the organisers, the festival helped the younger generation reconnect with the cultural roots of Bengal while fostering greater appreciation for the traditions surrounding Nabanna.
