The Drama, Music and Dance Club of Scholastica senior campus staged Satyajit Ray鈥檚 production titled Hirok Rajar Deshe at its two-day annual drama programme concluded at Uttara in Dhaka on Friday.
Dedicated to the memory of Scholastica鈥檚 founder Yasmeen Murshed, the programme was organised to commemorate the silver jubilee of the STM Hall, a stage that has witnessed countless memorable performances over the years, said a press release.
On the closing day, the event was graced by eminent theatre and film artistes Abul Hayat, Dilara Zaman and Afzal Hossain as special guests.
Farah Sophia Ahmed, principal of Scholastica senior campus, Uttara, also addressed the audience during the event.
The play was directed by Kazi Taufiqul Islam Emon. Shoilee Parmita Neelpoddo served as production manager, while Gazi Munnoff, Elias Khan and Palash Nath Lochon were in charge of music direction.
The choreography was done by Shammi Yasmin Jhinuk and Forhad Ahmed Shamim.
Nazifa Waziha Ahmed, Ariyad Rahman, Azyiad Rahman, Bazneen Rahman, Mohammad Safir Chowdhury, Fahim Ahmed, Syed Kafshat Taiyush Hamd and Tazreeba Nawfat, among others, played different roles in the production.
