The Ideas Challenge 2025 competition was held on the American International University–Bangladesh campus in Dhaka on Saturday.

The event, organised by AIUB’s Social Welfare Club ‘Shomoy’, was inaugurated by Ishtiaq Abedin, founding member of AIUB, said a press release on Tuesday.


Also present were group captain (retired) Mohammad Zahidul Islam Khan, registrar of AIUB, Professor Anwar Hossain, adviser and dean, in-charge, of the faculty of business administration, and Professor Manzur H Khan, proctor of AIUB, along with club mentors, faculty members, officials, representatives from participating institutions, club members, and students.

Fifty educational institutions from across the country participated in this year’s competition. The participants presented a variety of innovative projects and posters related to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, focusing on issues such as youth employment and gender equality, physical and mental healthcare, poverty alleviation, information technology, infrastructure and innovation, climate change, and food and waste management.

At the award ceremony, Professor Saiful Islam, vice-chancellor of AIUB, attended as the chief guest. Professor Abdur Rahman, pro-vice-chancellor of AIUB, was also present at the event.
