North South University’s School of Engineering and Physical Sciences (SEPS) successfully concluded its inaugural SEPS Sports Fest 2025, held under the vibrant theme ‘Where Energy Meets Excellence,’ says a press release.
The five-day event, which ran from October 17 to 21, brought together students, faculty, and staff in a spirited celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and community engagement.
The SEPS Sports Fest was officially inaugurated on October 16 by Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of North South University, and the prize-giving ceremony was held on October 22, 2025, at the university’s Upper Plaza- amphitheater.
The event was graced by Professor Dr. Abdur Rob Khan, Treasurer and Pro-Vice Chancellor (In-Charge), who presented the awards to the winners and acknowledged the participants’ enthusiasm and sportsmanship. Other presented faculty members were Prof. Dr. Mohammad Abdul Matin, Chairman, Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. S. M. Ashfaqul Hoq, Chairman, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Ar. Shahriar Iqbal Raj, Associate Professor and Chairman, Department of Architecture and Assistant Professor Dr. Asef Mohammad Redwan.
This year’s Football champion team was ECE Techtrons and runner up team was IEEE NSU SB. The Golden Gloves, Golden Boot and the best player of the tournament was awarded to Md. Nahid Taki (IEEE NSU SB), Top Goal Scorer: Al Shahriar Nazim (IEEE NSU SB), Muhtasim Zaman (Playmakers). Chess Champion was N. Nure Azad Shihab (ECE), Runner-Up was Shukkur Dewan (ECE).
Badminton Men’s Doubles, Winners was Tanvir Hasan Prince & Azwad Islam (ECE), Runners-Up was Mahobub Hasan Emon & Faysal (ECE) Women’s Doubles, Winners was Ayesha Anika Esha & Adrota Rahman (Architecture) and Runners-Up: Mabrura Ahmed & Jukta Bhowmik (ECE).
