
The Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh held its 18th syndicate meeting at the conference room of AAUB in Lalmonirhat on Thursday.
AAUB vice-chancellor Air-Vice-Marshall AKM Manirul Bahar presided over the meeting, said a press release.
The chairman opened the conference by welcoming everyone to Lalmonirhat and outlining how each section of the site symbolises the national dream.
He added that everyone in attendance was the primary power behind the direction, advancement and formulation of university policies.
In light of everyone’s knowledge, experience and insightful viewpoints, the president expressed hope that the university’s future course would be lit by a fusion of modern research, education and human values.
This university’s sole objective is to advance aviation and aerospace education to a level that will improve Bangladesh’s standing in terms of sustainable technological competitiveness and national development, he said.
He added that a system of education developed by combining ethical and technological brilliance would enhance students’ professional abilities and sense of altruism.
He believes, ‘The university, which was founded with the intention of creating a knowledge-based Bangladesh, will serve as a representation of the nation’s pride.’
Following that, he gave everyone in attendance an overview of the activities since the 17th syndicate meeting on August 21.
Subsequently, the syndicate meeting agendas were discussed and necessary decisions were made accordingly.
The meeting was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Armed Forces Division, Bangladesh Air Force, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh in addition to all of the syndicate members of Aviation and Aerospace University, Bangladesh.
