Shaheed Selim Central Library of BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology launched a three-day book fair on the BUFT campus in Dhaka on Monday.
The event brought together students, faculty members and book enthusiasts in a celebration of literature, knowledge and creative exploration, said a press release.
The book fair is featuring a line-up of literary events, book exhibitions and direct interactions with publishers.
Faruque Hassan, chairman of the board of trustees of BUFT, was present as chief guest while Nesar Uddin Ayub, director of the Bangladesh Publishers and Book Sellers鈥� Association, was present as special guest at the event, which was presided over by Professor Ayub Nabi Khan, acting vice-chancellor of BUFT and convener of the book fair.
The fair witnessed the participation of 26 publishers from across Bangladesh, offering a wide selection of titles ranging from academic textbooks and research works to novels, fashion and design publications and general interest books.
The fair is providing a platform for the BUFT community to explore new literature and engage with publishing professionals.
