
Eight students from Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology have been awarded scholarships to pursue higher education in Norway under the Collaborative Academic Research and Education project.
The initiative, a joint effort between CUET and Norway鈥檚 University of Agder, aims to enhance academic collaboration and research opportunities for students, said a press release.
A farewell meeting was held on Sunday at CUET鈥檚 syndicate room, where the selected students met with vice-chancellor Professor Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan.
Also present were key faculty members, including mechanical and manufacturing faculty dean Professor Kazi Afzalur Rahman, registrar (additional charges) Professor Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, petroleum and mining engineering department head and director of the CARE project Professor Abu Sadat Muhammad Sayem, mechatronics and industrial engineering department head Professor Prosanjit Das and director of the department of student welfare Professor Md Mahbubul Alam.
Since its inception, the CARE project has enabled 26 CUET students to study abroad, strengthening academic ties between Bangladesh and Norway.
