The 18th syndicate meeting of Gono Bishwabidyalay was held at its vice-chancellor conference room on the campus in Savar of Dhaka district on Tuesday.
Gono Bishwabidyalay鈥檚 vice-chancellor Professor Md Abul Hossain presided over the meeting, said a press release.
The meeting was attended by Professor Abul Qasem Chowdhury, syndicate members and trustees of Gono Bishwabidyalay, Professor Md Fazlul Karim, agriculture faculty dean, Professor Nilufar Sultana, arts and social sciences faculty dean, Professor Niloy Kumar Dey, head of chemistry department, registrar Md Ohidjuman, and Professor M Shamsul Alam, engineering faculty dean of Daffodil International University.
Waliul Islam, president of the board of trustees of the university and syndicate member, and Mohammad Barad Hossain Chowdhury, joint secretary of education ministry, joined the meeting online.
The meeting approved the minutes of the 17th Syndicate meeting, the decisions of the 27th academic council meeting. Besides, several decisions were taken, including the permanent employment of teachers, officers and employees, new appointments and promotions at the meeting.
