Niaz Abdur Rahman, a passionate wildlife photographer and explorer, has recently delivered a presentation about his recent trip to Antarctica to students of the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in Dhaka.
The presentation titled Visit to the White Continent offered insights into the untouched landscapes, wildlife, and wonders of Antarctica, said a press release on Thursday.
Niaz is a leading vitreo-retina surgeon and managing director of the Bangladesh Eye Hospital. A Humphrey fellow from Johns Hopkins, he has authored over sixty scientific papers and founded several hospitals, including the Bangladesh Eye Trust.
He is also current president of the Bangladesh Bird Club.
