NRBC Bank PLC on Sunday launched a week-long financial awareness programme titled ‘Festival of Youth’ at Jagannath University, said a press release.

The bank hosted the event to promote financial literacy, encourage entrepreneurship and guide students in pursuing higher education both at home and abroad.


The campaign aims to inspire students to develop sound financial habits. It also encourages them to explore opportunities for career guidance and entrepreneurship.

As part of the initiative, the bank has set up a dedicated stall on the university campus to offer students information on banking products, career counselling, and overseas education support.

NRBC Bank deputy managing director and chief financial officer Harunur Rashid inaugurated the stall.

NRBC Bank retail banking and financial inclusion division head Kazi Md Safayet Kabir, Nayabazar branch head Asif Ahmed and Jagannath University marketing department associate professor Md Mahathi Hasan Jewel were also present.

Through its student-centric product ‘NewGen,’ NRBC Bank is offering students the opportunity to open accounts with no annual maintenance fees and access multicurrency debit cards.

The bank is also providing guidance on overseas higher studies and entrepreneurship development. Students can avail banking services and financial advice at the stall every day from 10:00am to 5:00pm throughout the week-long programme.
