BASIC Bank Limited on Saturday held its Business Review Meeting-2025 at Biddut Bhaban in the capital, said a press release.
Chairman Helal Ahmed Chowdhury inaugurated the meeting as chief guest.
Managing director and chief executive officer Md Quamruzzaman Khan presided over the meeting.
BASIC Bank directors Sheikh Farid, Financial Institutions Division joint secretary, Md Abdul Ahad, additional secretary (retired), and BASIC Bank observer Md Sirajul Islam, Bangladesh Bank executive director, were present as special guests.
Among others, deputy managing directors Abu Md Mofazzal, Subhash Chandra Das, general managers Md Ismail, Md. Momenul Hoque, Md Nashir Uddin, Sumit Ranjan Nath, Md Hasan Imam, Dulon Kanti Chakrabarty, Md Ghulam Syeed Khan and Md Saidur Rahman Sohel were present.
Helal Ahmed Chowdhury gave special instructions on strengthening loan recovery efforts and expediting the legal procedures, enhancing operational efficiency, mobilisation of deposits, compliance of all regulatory instructions, maintenance of high ethical standard, human resources development through massive training and ensure quality customer services.
Sheikh Farid discussed at length modalities of salvaging the bank from present position and sight example of Japan about their ethical standard.
Md Quamruzzaman Khan welcomed all managers at the programme and urged them to fulfil given targets and comply with all regulatory compliances strictly.
He put emphasis on day-to-day completion of works and improving customer services.
