Bangladeshi singer and composer Raja Bashir has composed the anthem for his educational institute TAFE Queensland.

The anthem is scheduled to be released after shooting of its music video.

Written and composed by Raja himself, the song aims to truly reflect what TAFE Queensland is all about, said Raja.

‘In the face of challenges, we will reach new heights as the lyrics portray the TAFE Queensland where teachers inspire and crew support to grow,’ Raja said, adding that his teacher Ben Crawford has played guitar while Nick Woodend played bass for the song.

Besides Raja, the other vocals namely Bill, Suzi, Ella, Rochelle, Atman are also students of TAFE.

‘I would like to thank Richard Barrett, the executive director of TAFE for giving me the opportunity to create the anthem for the institute, where I have completed my diploma of Music in Sound Production,’ said Raja.

Raja was born into a family of renowned musicians. His father, Bashir Ahmed, and mother, Meena Bashir, are both highly acclaimed artists in Bangladesh.

Currently, Raja is directing the second session of Melody Junction, an online platform of original Bangla songs which appeared on the YouTube channel of Sargam Sound Station recently.

‘TAFE Queensland has not only refined my skills but also provided me with the confidence and tools to elevate my music production to a professional standard while I am always getting inspiration from my sister Humaira Bashir and my wife Runa Bashir to create music,’ Raja said, adding that the anthem of TAFE Queensland will be released in May.
