A fire broke out at a 10-storey commercial building in the capital鈥檚 Shegunbagicha area on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, the blaze started at about 3:00pm at the 9th floor of the Al-Tariq Tower.
Md Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence media cell, said that five fire-fighting units worked at the scene to bring the blaze under control.
On information, the first unit reached the scene at about 3:15pm while the units brought the blaze under control at about 3:30pm, he said.
No casualties were reported in the incident, Anwarul mentioned.
